Technical Document

Brief Overview

White cement is an important binder with a high level of whiteness. White ordinary Portland cement, known as “White Cement”, is one of the most important raw materials used in the construction of a building. White cement with the exception of whiteness has same properties as Gray ordinary Portland cement has. It is as durable and strong as Gray ordinary Portland cement and has a high degree of whiteness. There are different kinds of white cement including Types I, II, III, and V, but the Type I and III are used commonly. White cement is made from raw materials with a low content of color elements such as Mn, Fe, Cr, and Ti.

Manufacturing Processes

There are mainly 4 essential stages in manufacturing process of white cement including crushing, raw meal grinding, clinkerisation, cement grinding. Limestone is first crushed at raw mill. Raw materials like clays and feldspar of desired chemical compositions are fed through electronic weigh feeders. The important processes in clinkerisation are fuel preparation and kiln operations. After cement is grinded and the classifier controls the fineness of white cement, the finished product is obtained and packed.

Paint Industry

White cement is used as a binder in a broad variety of applications involving mortars, renders, concrete blocks, tile grouts and adhesives, pool finishes, statues, and fountains. It is good for decoration material because it provides a neutral tinting base. Because it is a premium and specialized product, it is used in some applications where appearance is a high priority, like stamped concrete and precast.
